The Program

THE PURPOSE

Supermoms is a program that was created by Fischer. The goal of the program is to enhance our student’s educational success by utilizing the positive impact of mothers and mother figures in the lives of their children and students. 

Research shows when parents are involved there are:

  • Higher test scores, grades, & graduation rates
  • Better school attendance
  • Increased motivation
  • Increased self esteem
  • Lower rates of suspension

SUPERMOM DUTIES

  • half of the day in student’s classroom
  • to work together with allstudents
  • helping students with class work
  •  going out for recess
  • being a reading buddy 
  • eating lunch in school lunch room

A SUPERMOM'S DAY

Moms are asked to arrive at 7:45 am:

  • to discuss morning schedule
  • change into Supermom t-shirt, (if you haven’t purchased one)
  • be ready to meet kids as they arrive at school.
  • help greet students as they get off bus: official Supermom greeting is a high five
  • introduced in morning announcements 
  • orientation and tour
  • start Supermom duties!!!
