In response to the the COVID-19 outbreak, the D205 Foundation has launched a Community Impact Fund. With your philanthropic support, this fund will allow the Foundation to rapidly deploy flexible resources to Elmhurst schools and community based organizations who are at the front lines of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The COVID-19 health landscape continues to evolve rapidly as evidenced by Governor Pritzker’s mandate that all schools close across the state. The governor’s decision was in sync with my decision on Friday in advance of that announcement to close all Elmhurst Community School Unit District 205 schools and offices beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. The closure schedule is as follows:
Thank you for your support and understanding as District 205 continues to navigate the current COVID-19 health situation. District 205 has made the decision to operate on an Emergency Late Start Schedule on Friday, March 13, 2020. This is the same schedule as is used for a regular Student Late Arrival Day.
Elmhurst Community Unit District 205 continues to closely monitor updates from the health community on the COVID-19 virus. While there have been no confirmed cases in the school district or recommendations to alter operations, an abundance of caution must be exercised to limit the spread of illness throughout our school community.
