Weather Alert

Attention D205 Community,

We have continued to monitor the forecast and updates from the National Weather Service for tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.  DuPage County is now under a Winter Weather Advisory From 9 AM Wednesday to 3 AM CST Thursday.  Conditions are likely to deteriorate throughout the morning and afternoon rapidly, causing potentially treacherous conditions for the afternoon commute. In light of this, we have decided to implement our Flexible Learning Plan. All District 205 buildings will be closed and all BEFORE AND AFTER school activities are canceled.

Please note that all Academic Approach ACT Prep Classes will still be held virtually tomorrow after school. Academic Approach has sent Zoom credentials to all impacted students.

Please note that we will NOT be implementing the previously scheduled late start and we will begin school at the normal time.

As a reminder, you can access all information pertaining to the Flexible Learning Plans on our website under the Resources tab.  We encourage all families to take some time to review this information tonight.

Please note that any student who receives transportation for academic programming through District 205, including those who attend the Technology Center of DuPage and out-of-district special education programs, will not be transported as a result.

We look forward to welcoming our staff and students back to buildings on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Any additional updates will be shared with the community through multiple channels including email, text message, and phone calls. Information will also be posted on the homepage of our District and school websites, all District social media pages (FacebookInstagram and X), as well as shared with the Emergency Closing Center and all local media via press release.

As always, we appreciate your support and understanding of the need to put the health and safety of our students and staff as top priority.

Stay safe and warm!
